The SwitchBlade x3112 combines Allied Telesis' technical leadership in Ethernet switching, carrier access, and IP Triple Play to deliver the first in a new series of access chassis solutions aimed at the growing FTTx market. The result is a next-generation FTTx platform that offers maximum flexibility without compromising scalability. This platform flexibility reduces rack space and lowers the cost of new FTTx deployments by eliminating redundant ports and features. The SwitchBlade x3112 features an 800 Gigabit switch fabric that provides non-blocking wire-speed performance to every port, while hot-swappable redundant power supplies and the widely deployed iMAP operating system ensure true carrier-class 99.999% reliability.

The SwitchBlade x3112 is a 12-slot chassis-based Ethernet switch that supports any combination of 100/1000 optical Ethernet modules, 10 Gigabit optical Ethernet modules, or 10/100/1000 PoE+ modules. For FTTx services, the 24-port 100/1000 SFP-based modules provide the customer with maximum bandwidth connectivity. The four-port 10G modules are typically used in a redundant configuration for high-throughput connectivity to the network core.
