Two models are presented:- CS260-10 FTTx PON OTDR: This OTDR is designed for activation and troubleshooting of FTTx PON networks. It transmits at 1625 nm and has a filtered detector, allowing it to be used on active networks without service interruption, as it does not interfere with 1310, 1490, and 1550 nm signals. Its dynamic range is 35 dB, and its event and attenuation dead zones are 0.8 m and 3.5 m, respectively. It incorporates a power meter that automatically detects and measures downlink wavelengths in PON networks (1490 and 1550 nm) and a visual fault locator (VFL).
- CS260-20 OTDR: This OTDR is designed for measuring links and troubleshooting in metropolitan area networks. It transmits at 1310/1550 nm with a dynamic range of 28 dB, and event dead zones and attenuation zones of 0.8 m and 3.5 m, respectively. It incorporates a visual fault locator (VFL).
The CS260 family is an evolution of AFL's popular OFL280 and FLX380 FlexTester families, offering the same ease of use, high indoor/outdoor screen contrast, and over 12 hours of operation without battery charging. Both models also include an integrated VFL (Visible Red Laser) designed to visually identify the location of macro bends or breaks in splices, access terminals, and cabinets.
