Designed to simplify traditional multi-level switching architecture, Iskratel's GPON solution will be deployed to replace active Ethernet switches with passive optical devices in the Hotel Los Castros network, enabling the hotel's network to support ultra-fast downstream and upstream speeds. Acting as an alternative to traditional active networks, the solution will allow for cost-effective and efficient network upgrades to meet gigabit broadband demands, enabling the hotel to offer bandwidth-intensive ultra-high-definition (UHD) content, Voice over IP (VoIP), and internet data services.
“As the demand for greater bandwidth continues to increase, we need to effectively and efficiently replace our customers’ active Ethernet switches to increase network capacity,” said
Luis Miguel González Martín, Technical Director of ITM Global. “Cabelec, in partnership with Iskratel, developed an alternative solution that significantly simplified this process, allowing us to achieve our objectives and upgrade our customers’ networks to meet future service demands.”
The project comes after Cabelec became a new certified partner in Iskratel's Partner Program earlier this year. Under the partnership, a new range of solutions for delivering broadband, IPTV, telephony, video surveillance, and cloud services will be brought to new market segments, combining Iskratel's GPON and centralized management system with Cabelec's expertise in successfully building and deploying high-quality networks.
“Since joining the Iskratel Partner Program, our customer base has expanded significantly, allowing us to reach new heights in the networking sector,” said Luis Miguel Rodríguez Barón, Technical Director of Cabelec. “By combining our proven expertise in building and implementing high-performance networks with Iskratel’s innovative products and solutions, we are providing ITM Global with a comprehensive solution that will enable its customers to upgrade their infrastructure to next-generation networks. This will ensure they can meet bandwidth demands today and tomorrow.”.
The Iskratel Partner Program, which already involves several companies across Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, provides assistance in a wide range of areas to enable companies to grow in emerging markets and become broadband market leaders by reselling Iskratel's broadband products and solutions.
“We are delighted to be working with Cabelec and are already seeing significant benefits from the partnership,” said Kristijan Melinc, Global Sales Director at Iskratel. “This includes the development and future deployment of a GPON-based optical LAN solution for Cabelec’s long-term customer, ITM Global, which has seen Iskratel enter exciting new
market segments that were previously inaccessible.”
