In this role, he will lead the IT and Digital departments at the corporate level, and his primary responsibility will be to further grow and improve the company's e-commerce offering to ensure customers have a first-class online experience while simultaneously ensuring the technology platform continues to evolve at a steady pace to meet future business needs. Alexander will report directly to the Group's CEO, Lindsley Ruth.

Alexander has extensive experience in digital environments internationally. After holding senior management positions at eBay for the past ten years, culminating in his role as Vice President of eBay EMEA, he possesses in-depth knowledge of complex digital environments globally and a detailed understanding of online customers and how to meet their evolving needs through technology and innovation. This is complemented by strong leadership skills honed through his experience in various large, multifunctional organizations worldwide.
He joined eBay in 2004 as Marketing Director at the Paris headquarters, later becoming General Manager of eBay France and subsequently CMO of eBay Europe. During this time, he played a key role in eBay's transformation from a C2C auction site into a multichannel marketplace for brands and retailers.
Prior to eBay, he held positions at Telefónica in Madrid, Booz Allen & Hamilton in London, and Procter & Gamble in Mexico. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Georgetown University and an MBA from INSEAD.
