During his early years, Roger Kao was responsible for the company's success in the United States, particularly in sales and business development. Kao also served as president of Cellvision Systems, a D-Link affiliate, from 1996 to 2006. After establishing a strong presence in the West, Roger Kao turned his attention to Asia, becoming president of D-Link China in 2003. In recognition of his productive career, the board of directors has appointed Ken Kao president and CEO of D-Link Corporation. AP Chen has been a member of D-Link's board of directors since 1993. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Citibank's Taiwan branch from 1978 to 1988, where he held the position of assistant vice president. He then became the head of corporate banking at Bank of Boston in Taiwan from 1988 to 1990. After 12 years of experience in marketing and sales, Chen moved from finance to asset management as a director at Champion Consulting Group, where he remained until 1996. He then became CFO of the D-Link Group, a position he has held since 1997.
