CEO of Saft Baterías, has been appointed vice president of the newly formed Batteries and Cells Sector Area of AMETIC, which includes 22 companies in the sector. Chacón is carrying out this work in collaboration with José María Azpichueta of Cegasa, who has been elected president of the Area.

The group's objectives will include: controlling fraud, reporting on legislation related to batteries, conducting market statistics, and being present in the European EPBA Association.

Chacón has spent his entire professional career in the energy storage sector, beginning at Tudor in 1990, where he held various technical, sales, and management positions. The CEO of Saft Baterías holds a PhD in Chemical Sciences, specializing in Electrochemistry, from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and an MBA from IEDE Business School.
