Dedios-Pleite is leaving the company after a long career and will remain linked to the industry through the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where for the last 34 years he has been an adjunct professor of Fluid Mechanics.

José Ramón Castro takes the reins in this new phase, after more than 27 years with the company. An Electrical Engineer from the Metropolitan University of Caracas (Venezuela) and an MBA from the same institution, Castro began his career in the Venezuelan capital as a Sales Engineer in the photovoltaic sector and continued as Director for Venezuela of the transformer and power reactor and distribution business.
He moved to Spain in January 2001 and spent an initial period in Madrid, where, after holding several important positions, he was appointed Director of Photovoltaic Products and Electrical Systems. Subsequently, in October 2009, he was appointed Director of Industry in Catalonia, a position to which he added that of Regional Director for Catalonia, Aragon, and the Balearic Islands in 2019. He has held both roles until his current appointment.

Over the past few years, José Ramón Castro has applied his extensive experience in the digitalization of industry on the ground. Thanks to this, he has driven its transformation. Leveraging new technologies and working closely with the region's most important clients, he has carried out significant projects in the fields of additive manufacturing, the Internet of Things, and Digital Twins.
