In 2004 he joined the family business project, ASTI, at the end of 2006 he became CEO and in 2008 he acquired the company by purchasing 100% of its shares.

Verónica Pascual has led a comprehensive change management process based on four pillars: Talent Management, Customer Focus, Development of Proprietary Technologies, and Internationalization. This has resulted in, among other things, the establishment of strategic framework agreements worldwide with various multinational companies in industrial sectors such as Automotive, Food, Pharmaceuticals, and Aerospace, and has positioned the company as the leading European manufacturer of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) according to the annual ranking by the prestigious University of Hannover

In her speech as a presidential candidate, she highlighted a vision: “the importance of positioning Spain as a benchmark for Industry 4.0” and three fundamental lines: “the development and joint work of enabling technologies, the co-creation plan between enabling technologies and the industrial fabric targeted by the Industry 4.0 transformation, and the importance of public-private collaboration for the development of Industry 4.0 talent.”

The AMETIC Industry 4.0 Commission, created in July 2015, was established to define a strategic approach to Industry 4.0 and to act as an intermediary between companies and the public administration. It currently has 77 member companies, and until now, Pablo Oliete of Cellnex Telecom held the position of president; Luis Ignacio Vicente del Olmo, representing Telefónica R&D, served as vice president.

The new president of the Industry 4.0 Commission has outlined the five pillars of the new Strategic Plan 2017–2020: a co-creation plan with the target industrial fabric for the Industry 4.0 transformation; a plan for the development of enabling technologies; a plan for the development of enabling talent 4.0; a plan for building and strengthening international relations and benchmarking; and a plan for communication and public/private collaboration to generate project awareness and pride of belonging.
