The D-ALiX data center aims to serve as a foundational infrastructure for companies and organizations to develop their business models and access state-of-the-art technology without incurring significant budgetary burdens, as it is available for rent. D-ALiX is located within the ITER facilities in the Granadilla Industrial Park.
This project not only allows companies and organizations to save costs, but also provides them with extremely high availability and maximum modularity thanks to the Emerson Network Power Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems housed in the data center. Specifically, the system includes two Chloride Trinergy units and two Chloride 90-NET units. The project managers chose Emerson Network Power's offering due to the equipment's high performance, energy efficiency, and availability.
With these UPS systems, the D-ALiX data center provides customers with hosting and a robust environment at a highly competitive price, while guaranteeing exceptionally high levels of security, cooling, and power availability. Other key advantages include resistance to all types of weather and autonomy in the event of environmental disasters, along with high levels of connectivity and communication quality.
“We are very proud to be part of this project, as all types of companies and organizations in the Canary Islands will be able to quickly and easily benefit from advantages such as cost savings while improving their competitiveness,” explained Alberto Castella, Marketing Director of Emerson Network Power Spain. “These benefits are key for companies given the current economic situation, so this is a great example of how Emerson Network Power can become the perfect partner for Spanish businesses,” he added.
D-ALiX is part of the global ALiX project, which aims to make Tenerife a hub connecting the telecommunications networks of Europe and Africa. As a member of this global initiative, Emerson Network Power has also participated in the Canalink project, which has developed several inter-island submarine cable systems and a main Canary Islands-Peninsula cable. Specifically, the company has collaborated with the technical centers by supplying rectifier equipment and climate control machines.
