“Our growth in Asia and the Americas is helping LAPP weather challenging times in our European markets,” says Matthias Lapp, CEO of LAPP Group. India, China, and South Korea are the main drivers of growth, although countries like Mexico, Brazil, and Canada are also showing strong performance. LAPP is experiencing particular growth in sectors such as intralogistics, battery storage, infrastructure, and food production. Matthias Lapp emphasizes: “The overall conditions in Europe and Germany remain challenging. Rising costs and bureaucracy, on the one hand, and a weak economy, on the other: LAPP must stay on course to continue offering attractive products and services to our international customers. Specifically, we will be vigilant and optimize costs, processes, and structures, particularly in Germany.”

Double-Digit Growth in Asia and the Americas.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the Stuttgart-based global leader in integrated solutions and branded products in cable and connectivity technology is experiencing strong double-digit growth in fiscal year 2025. In the Americas, LAPP is successfully navigating geopolitical uncertainties and also achieving double-digit growth.
With acquisitions in China and Brazil, LAPP is further consolidating its market position: in Dongguan, China, near Shenzhen, the company has acquired a specialist in circular connectors. In São Paulo, Brazil, LAPP has purchased a connectivity technology company, thus strengthening its presence in South America. Matthias Lapp notes: “The strategic decisions of recent years and decades are paying off: ongoing internationalization makes us less dependent on local economic developments. And with our 'local for local' strategy, we develop, produce, and distribute wherever our customers are.”

Slight Growth in Europe.
In the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), which continues to account for the majority of the company's total sales, LAPP recorded slight growth in the low single digits. “It's not a bad result given the current economic conditions. But we are not satisfied, especially regarding our profitability ,” says Matthias Lapp.
One positive in Europe is the promising harness business, which involves selling engineering services and customized assembly solutions. “ All your connectivity solution needs from a single source: LAPP is the only company in the world that can offer this. In the future, we will focus even more on positioning ourselves as a comprehensive solutions provider for our customers.”

factory in Dharuhera, India. At its plants near Shanghai, China, and in New Jersey, USA, the company invested in new, state-of-the-art production lines.
Regarding sustainability, LAPP introduced connectors made from corn starch-based bioplastic and developed bio-based versions of its SKINTOP® cable glands, among other innovations.

Looking to the future with cautious optimism,
the family business owner faces fiscal year 2026 with cautious optimism: “Renewable energy, battery storage systems, data centers, and intralogistics require more energy, more data, and more connections. Our customers operate in the industries of the future. That gives me hope ,” says Matthias Lapp.
Regarding politics, he calls for faster action: “The German government’s reforms so far have fallen short of expectations. Now is the time to set aside partisan politics and deliver results. We face years of transformation that will require pragmatism, openness to innovation, and courage.”
