Following this approach, the TEIC cluster aims to implement the concept of a Virtual Corporate University among its members, as a platform that facilitates access to information, career guidance, grant applications, and knowledge management. This objective is pursued through the implementation of models that foster employee engagement, such as the People CMM, and the promotion of activities such as certification training, informal learning among employees from different organizations, and the dissemination of industry trends through a TEIC observatory.

Furthermore, GAIA develops internationalization and penetration strategies in underrepresented sectors and defines training programs tailored to the new profiles and skills required in the sector. These outreach efforts are framed within the BAPO (Business, Architecture, Process, Organization) model, which classifies training activities within four axes: Business context, organizational structure, technological support, and processes.

These actions address the findings of the Training Needs Assessment. The study highlights certain weaknesses in the management of training and the training opportunities available to professionals. These include difficulties in accessing training related to grant management, and the limited alignment of some companies with certain objectives of the ICT sector.

Furthermore, new professional profiles and skills are emerging, necessitating the implementation of updated learning processes. Seven new profiles have appeared in Electronics and eleven in ICT. On the other hand, professional profiles in decline are identified in the Electronics sector. New skills are also emerging in the ICT and Electronics sectors related to the BAPO model, hardware and software engineering, project management, languages, creativity, motivation, and responsibility.

In both sectors, a trend towards skills certifications is evident, and some areas, such as specialized programming, sales, marketing, and project management, have a high demand for training. Employees, in turn, prefer blended learning (in-person and online), short duration, and 50% of their time spent on the job.

GAIA believes it is necessary to continue working to delve deeper into the needs of the sector in accordance with its changes and evolution, seeking new alternatives and developing a global model that integrates all the services, infrastructures and resources necessary to provide an effective response to the weaknesses detected.
