To guarantee the integrity and stability of the measurements throughout the exercise, as well as for determining the assigned value, the SPI will collaborate with INTA's own Metrology and Calibration Center, accredited by ENAC as a calibration laboratory for all the quantities for which the SPI is accredited. This center boasts high metrological quality (its measurement and calibration capability, CMC, is among the best for a large number of parameters and quantities) and also has extensive experience as an accredited calibration laboratory since 1972.

The accreditation of the INTA SPI as a provider of calibration intercomparison exercises allows calibration laboratories to have a fundamental tool for their quality assurance, by being able to rely on the selection, planning and management of the exercise as well as the results obtained.
