They can operate in both grid-connected (on-grid) and off-grid environments, and switch seamlessly between different operating modes: voltage and frequency support via grid-forming and black start.
Capable of being assembled on a 20-foot-long skid, it is compatible with photovoltaic solar plants, battery energy storage systems (BESS), electrolyzers for green hydrogen, port infrastructure applications (OPS) or railway catenaries, as well as systems that require network control via STATCOM or active filters.
Among its technical features are an ultra-low harmonic content (THDi <1%), a DC/AC ratio of up to 200% without modification, and a sealed cooling system designed by Norvento TECHnPower, resistant to any adverse conditions. This system combines liquid cooling for the main converter components with internal recirculation of cold air, without any air exchange with the outside, guaranteeing stable operation even in extreme climates. Thanks to this design, the entire converter system achieves an IP65 protection rating.
The nXL family also integrates advanced control and predictive maintenance algorithms based on artificial intelligence. Furthermore, by eliminating all air filters, the new units require minimal maintenance and repair.
One of the sectors where this technology is particularly relevant is data centers, where energy continuity and stability are critical. Norvento TECHnPower's nXL converters offer a secure and adaptable power source, with direct integration with batteries to cover peak demand or potential outages, thus guaranteeing a continuous power supply.
Furthermore, thanks to its sealed cooling system, the nXL converter family is suitable for desert areas, areas of high corrosion near the sea or very extreme temperatures, and even in areas with conductive particles present in the air, such as mines and volcanic areas.
