The source and display can be connected remotely at resolutions up to 4K @ 30Hz or 4K @ 60Hz (4:2:0), and over longer distances for resolutions up to 1080p @ 60Hz. The transmitter and receiver connect the source to the display using a CAT5e/6 cable.
"This product is an excellent addition to any home or office environment, with support for all digital audio formats, HDMI 2.0, and HDR video," says MuxLab's Director of Product Management, Joe Teixeira. "Audio Return Channel is a valuable feature for easily adding a soundbar or returning audio from a smart TV to an AV receiver for high-performance surround sound.".
The receiver can accept and return audio via HDMI and TosLink ports, and audio can be sent through the transmitter using the TosLink port. RS232 and bi-directional IR enable remote control of end devices. The MuxLab HDMI/RS232 extender kit with ARC, HDBT, and UHD-4K will begin shipping in Q4 2018.
