Polycom Trio will work with Polycom's video codecs, in addition to the existing VisualPlus, unlocking videoconferencing capabilities previously reserved for larger rooms, such as the facial tracking feature found in Polycom EagleEye Director II and Polycom EagleEye Producer. Polycom Trio will also deliver an optimized room experience with dual-monitor support, enhanced audio coverage with ceiling-mounted microphones, and improved HDMI connectivity. With no need for additional remote controls, Polycom Trio's touchscreen becomes the only interface required to manage call volume, camera zoom, and more.
“Customers have higher expectations than ever for meeting rooms: they want every meeting space to be a true collaboration hub with simple voice, video, and content sharing,” says Mary McDowell, CEO of Polycom. “Polycom continues to lead the way with Polycom Trio, making it the easiest way for our customers to connect, communicate, and be productive.”
The new features will be supported by software updates for Polycom Trio and Polycom’s Group Series CODEC, available starting in July.
Polycom Pano will now feature "guest access" to allow business consultants, clients, partners, or entrepreneurs to connect and share content via a secure guest Wi-Fi network. Polycom Pano will run on a separate wireless network and operate in "receive-only" mode, ensuring the highest level of security and allowing meeting attendees to connect with confidence and share content with a single tap. Polycom Pano supports up to four devices simultaneously and allows users to easily share presentations, documents, videos, and images, while also offering the ability to annotate files with its infinite whiteboard feature.
The Polycom Pano update will be released in July.
