"With MOBOTIX CLOUD, we are expanding our offering and continuing our commitment to providing comprehensive video management solutions to our customers. We collaborate with our technology partners to design, develop, install, and manage advanced video systems that help our customers optimize their operations and enhance their security without requiring complex technologies or excessive personnel," says Thomas Lausten, CEO of MOBOTIX.
Fantastic rates for customers
In addition to the MOBOTIX Bridge hardware, MOBOTIX CLOUD incorporates all the traditional functions of video management systems: video recording of specific events, data storage, real-time remote access to all cameras, notifications, user management, web security, and more. MOBOTIX customers can use the cloud for a modest monthly fee and save on storage, additional video servers, and IT staff for their video systems.
“All cameras communicate via an encrypted connection with the MOBOTIX Bridge, a compact, highly secure junction box. A single bridge can connect to up to 15 ONVIF-S cameras. The number of cameras that can be connected varies depending on the number of bridges installed in the system,” explains Hartmut Sprave, Chief Technology Officer at MOBOTIX. The bridge transfers video data to the MOBOTIX Cloud, intelligently manages bandwidth, and, thanks to its integrated hard drive, prevents video interruptions due to bandwidth fluctuations. It can also recover from network outages of up to 48 hours. Video recordings from each camera are securely stored in MOBOTIX’s private data centers, allowing for adjustments to the storage period and resolution.
A cybersecure and expandable system
MOBOTIX's top priority was establishing secure cyber connections with MOBOTIX CLOUD data centers in each region to optimize the cloud platform. Maximum security, end-to-end encryption protects all data stored on and transferred from the system. Additionally, the hard drive integrated into MOBOTIX Bridge serves as temporary storage in case of cloud connection interruptions or failures. The compact, fanless design of this device and the connections it utilizes provide unparalleled reliability and security.
The MOBOTIX CLOUD system offers maximum security, is scalable to meet evolving needs, and is ideal for any video system. This cloud platform is particularly attractive and user-friendly for systems with multiple locations (such as retail branches or restaurant franchises) or users (such as security personnel in public buildings or various departments within large companies with multiple offices). It also provides a simple tool for individual users to manage their video surveillance systems.
MOBOTIX CLOUD does not require a firewall and blocks incoming internet connections. Cameras are not directly connected to the internet but are instead interconnected via MOBOTIX Bridge. It also eliminates open network connections and provides maximum malware protection in your data center. Furthermore, it encrypts the video recordings it temporarily stores.
All videos stored in the cloud are protected, so you can rest assured against failures, damage, theft, or unforeseen events such as fires or floods. MOBOTIX CLOUD's data centers, located in twelve locations around the world, offer triple the security, as multiple copies of each video are always stored in the data center closest to the end customer. Furthermore, MOBOTIX Bridge devices allow cameras to continue recording during network outages of up to 48 hours.
Compatible with all current MOBOTIX cameras.
MOBOTIX CLOUD only requires an H.264 video stream, making it compatible with all current cameras in the Mx6, MOBOTIX 7, and MOBOTIX MOVE series. It also offers control over all digital and mechanical auto-tracking functions. Thanks to its special dewarping function, or geometric distortion correction, it can also retouch original 360° images from a MOBOTIX hemispherical camera (such as a Q26) for clear and sharp display. Users can apply this preset function to single, dual, triple, quad, or 360° video images. The images can be displayed as if they came from different cameras. Furthermore, this solution is generally compatible with all ONVIF-S cameras from other manufacturers.
