The 2.4 GHz ISM band antenna is based on Molex's market-leading Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) technology. Using a 3D laser system, LDS technology allows the antenna to transfer CAD data directly through a molded antenna mount or even directly through the device structure.
The 2.4 GHz ISM band antenna is fully compatible with surface mount (SMD) and reflow soldering processes, enabling easy integration into customer processes. Its overall dimensions of 3.0 mm (width) x 3.0 mm (length) x 4.0 mm (height) make it one of the most compact terrestrial antennas in its class. The antenna is suitable for smart meters and other smart grid-connected devices, consumer Wi-Fi electronics, and other applications using Bluetooth, ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4), and WLAN (IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
