These modules, which incorporate advanced telematics features, have been designed to exceed the specific requirements of the European eCall initiative and are GSMC approved.
The AC65i and AC75i modules are therefore suitable for a wide range of automotive applications, such as toll collection solutions, various telematics tasks, fleet management, emergency calls, and roadside assistance solutions that must function seamlessly across all network and national borders.
The AC65i and AC75i units are distinguished by their integrated, powerful ARM9™ processor for onboard embedded processing, as well as the other standard features of Cinterion automotive modules, including antenna diagnostics, Remote SIM Access Profile, Radio Link Stability (RLS) Monitoring, RIL software for Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 6.1-based devices, and advanced temperature control.
The new modules, which have ample memory for internal application embedding, have been developed to anticipate future requirements of the European eCall initiative. They comply with TS 16949 quality standards and are included in the International Material Data System (IMDS). The
AC65i module features Quad-Band Class 12 GPRS functionality for eCall, RLS monitoring, Java™-based embedded processing, and improvements to power-saving modes, multi-threading, and on-device debugging.
The AC75i module offers Quad-Band EDGE Class 12 and GPRS Class 12 for faster data transmission, making it suitable for eCall, RLS monitoring, advanced temperature management, and RIL drivers for Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 6.1-based applications.
