The GS1011M is an ideal solution for companies with limited experience in Wi-Fi or RF systems, reducing design and certification time and allowing them to focus their efforts on their application or product. The module supports transfer speeds of up to 11 Mbps and complies with the 802.11b standard and Wi-Fi Alliance specifications.The system includes two ARM7 microprocessors, one for managing network protocols and the other as an interface with the final application.
For applications with small 8-bit microcontrollers, the module handles TCP/IP stack management and Wi-Fi functions. For applications with more powerful microcontrollers, stack management and services can reside on the host, while the module provides IP and Wi-Fi functionality.
Additionally, it supports WEP/WPA/WPA2 security protocols and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
