The FRITZ!DECT 302 is a smart radiator thermostat that is easy to install. Its main purpose is to precisely regulate the temperature of each room and help reduce energy consumption, which is important considering that heating accounts for 41% of household energy expenditure, according to the IDAE (Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving). With this device, users can program schedules and adjust the heating temperature according to the needs of each room.
The FRITZ!DECT 302 features an e-ink display that shows the room temperature and allows you to turn the radiator on and off, as well as adjust the desired temperature, with just the touch of a button. However, its greatest potential lies in connecting the thermostat to your wireless network. After mounting it on the radiator, a simple click connects it to the FRITZ!Box router, making it ready for remote management. With the free FRITZ!App Smart Home app, users can adjust the temperature of each thermostat, or a group of thermostats, remotely from their phone or tablet—for example, to turn on the heating before arriving home.
The FRITZ!DECT 302 offers other advanced features such as open window detection, which automatically adjusts the heating when it detects sudden temperature changes. It also includes antifreeze protection, a turbo mode, and a button lock to prevent accidental operation. Furthermore, the thermostat is battery-operated and features a low-power chip that extends battery life for several winters.
The FRITZ!DECT 440 is a four-button smart home switch that allows you to manage up to twelve devices connected to the FRITZ!Box, such as thermostats, smart plugs, and LED lights. It also integrates a temperature and humidity sensor, further enhancing home climate comfort when used with the FRITZ!DECT 302 thermostat.
The FRITZ!DECT 440 smart switch features four programmable buttons that can be configured to perform different functions in the home, for example, in combination with the FRITZ!DECT 210 and FRITZ!DECT 200 smart plugs. It also has a high-visibility e-ink display that shows the room temperature and humidity, as well as a magnetic mount for easy installation anywhere.
Once installed and connected to the network using the DECT ULE home automation standard, the FRITZ!DECT 440 buttons can be programmed to perform all kinds of functions: from turning a device on or off to controlling the temperature or lighting of a room. Simply make the corresponding adjustments in the user interface of your compatible router.
The FRITZ!DECT 440 can manually switch devices or groups of devices on and off, but it can also apply predefined action sequences from the FRITZ!Box router interface, known as home automation routines. For example, with just the touch of a button, you can activate or deactivate the heating's holiday mode, a timer for the living room lamp, or schedule the lights or garden irrigation.
