The V-Series' measurement accuracy makes it an industry leader in three areas: lowest oscilloscope noise level, minimal real-time oscilloscope jitter, and maximum effective bit count. Thanks to a process based on an indium phosphide (InP) integrated circuit, these advantages allow developers to see highly accurate representations of their signals, thus benefiting from tighter design margins.
To help engineers pinpoint and debug the most complex problems, the V-Series offers 12.5 Gbps hardware serial triggering (HWST) with a 160-bit sequence—the highest on the market. It is currently the only HWST capable of locating 132-bit (128b/132b) USB 3.1 or 130-bit (128b/130b) PCIe® Gen 3 symbols. The V Series also offers the fastest mixed-signal oscilloscope on the market, with 20 Gmu/s digital channels, ideal for triggering, analyzing, and debugging DDR4 and LPDDR4 buses.
“The V-Series ensures rapid validation and debugging, whether the designer is seeking answers across multiple lanes or a highly parallel bus,” explained Dave Cipriani, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Oscilloscope and Protocol Division. “By choosing the V-Series, R&D labs in today’s most competitive industries will have everything they need to get more data, faster.” In addition, for high-performance probe-tip measurements, Keysight will also be introducing the new InfiniiMax III+ N7000A Series high-speed probe solutions, ranging from 8 to 20 GHz. These probe solutions feature InfiniiMode, which allows for convenient measurement of differential, unipolar, and common-mode signals with a single connection and probe tip.
This capability complements the existing InfiniiMax III N2800A Series 30 GHz wideband differential probe solutions. In addition, the new N7010A active termination adapter, designed for HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort, and MIPI™ M-PHY Gear 3 and 4 applications, offers ultra-low noise voltage termination (with adjustable voltage ranges from -4V to +4V) for signals.
The expertise and knowledge built into Keysight oscilloscope software applications save time and effort. These certified applications are designed to test to the exact specifications of standards such as USB 3.1, PCIe Gen 3, LPDDR4, HDMI 2.0, 100G Ethernet, and MIPI applications.
