Two custom ASICs provide an analog interface and high-performance signal processing. These chips are surrounded by a high-performance hardware design that includes a Xilinx Zync-7000 SoC, dual-core ARM-9 processors, a Linux + Qt operating system, high-speed DDR system memory, and QDRII display memory.
With bandwidths of 600 MHz and 1 GHz (optional bandwidth upgrade to 2 GHz) and a maximum sampling rate of 10 GS/s, the MSO8000 series is ideal for high-speed, instantaneous signal acquisition and analysis. Typical applications include automated factory testing, serial bus protocol analysis in automotive electronics, electronic circuit measurement, switching power measurement and analysis in the power field, and many more. The MSO8000 series is the high-performance oscilloscope of choice for research and development, universities and schools, production and quality control in the automotive, communications, and aerospace industries, as well as power electronics, and many other applications.

All devices feature a large 10.1-inch capacitive color touchscreen with 256 levels of intensity and color grading for accurate and clear signal display. For acquiring and processing large datasets, a storage depth of up to 500 MPts is available for all channels. A waveform refresh rate of up to 600,000 wfms/s allows for up to 450k frames of real-time waveform recording and playback.
A digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, arbitrary waveform generator, digital voltmeter, frequency counter and totalizer, and protocol analyzer complete the comprehensive measurement range (7-in-1 device). Various interfaces are available, including USB host, USB device, HDMI, LAN, USB-GPIB, and AUX OUT.
