The KJAYA's design innovations include copper contacts to reduce electrical resistance and drop-in PC tail connections for quick termination on the board or in flexible circuitry. A crimp-contact version is also available with standard M39029/57 short socket contacts on a two-pin cable, and tap designs to aid in automated wire crimp installation and quick repairs. It is available in a full range of MIL-DTL-38999 Series III design push-in models with contact sizes 22, 20, 16, and 12. Panel-mount and locknut receptacle versions are available in housing sizes 9 through 25.
The special sealants used in KJAYA lightweight aluminum connectors are designed to withstand 1 x 10⁻⁷ cm³/s at a 15 psi seal. Applications include aircraft bulkheads, avionics, ground-based radar, radios, batteries, weapons controls, and military video surveillance systems.
