The new Metr1x range is designed to offer complete reliability and guaranteed signal integrity in extremely harsh environments and has been specifically developed to meet the need for enhanced functionality and vibration resistance under complex thermodynamic conditions. ITT ICS developed the new Metr1x connector by leveraging the experience gained from its successful Quadrax range of military and aerospace-grade connectors and the QXM12 range. The Metr1x series is available in various housings to suit diverse applications, from heavy-duty diesel or gas engines, agricultural machinery, power generation units, and industrial automation to defense systems and robotics.


Available in multiple receptacle variations, the Metr1x series features CGK 20 contacts. The mating face adheres to industry-standard M12 and allows for 2-, 3-, or 4-way versions and standard cable configurations. A crimped cover eliminates cable overload and provides IP68 water ingress protection (protection against water ingress for a minimum of 2 hours when submerged to a maximum depth of 4 m).


Metr1x connectors operate at 100 VDC with a rated current of 4 A and provide complete EMI shielding. They are UL94-V0 compliant. The stainless steel design, sealed to IP69K standards, remains completely dry and functional, even under conditions that produce sprays of coarse salt, engine oil, diesel, kerosene, and similar harmful liquids. Tested at temperatures up to 150°C, Metr1x withstands vibrations up to 20G and shocks up to 50G, protecting vital signals, particularly during combustion monitoring and regulatory procedures.
