The micro38999 has proven to be more compact than other products currently available on the market, while simultaneously offering superior performance in the application environment. Souriau achieved this feat thanks to its expertise in material behavior at operating limits, its mastery of manufacturing processes, and its design capabilities for the D38999 range.
The combination of all these capabilities has made it possible to recreate a miniaturized 38999 while maintaining the same electrical, mechanical, and environmental performance as the standard model.
As an example of this performance, the micro38999 can withstand vibrations of 44 Grms at a temperature of 125°C for 8 hours. The crimped electrical contacts can be removed, allowing users to connect and disconnect the connectors to the cable directly in the application environment. (The contacts used have an M39029 design, which provides enhanced assurance of a secure, high-quality connection.)
In addition to the traditional metallizations available on the market, all micro38999 connectors can be supplied with non-reflective zinc-nickel protection in black to comply with the latest RoHS directives.
This will allow many customers to take advantage of this reliable miniature solution for their applications in extreme operating environments.
The micro38999 range is available with three different coupling systems: the 8DA threaded, the 8LTA bayonet, and the 8BA push-pull.
