The CA-Bayonet connectors are designed according to specification VG95234 for use in electrical equipment on railroads, trucks, ATVs, earthmoving equipment, ships, and other similar applications. Interchangeable with corresponding MIL-C-5015 devices, the components withstand the harshest environmental conditions thanks to a rugged aluminum alloy housing. An olive gray chrome-plated over cadmium finish protects the housing surface. A cobalt-zinc coating is available as an alternative.
Made of high-quality polychloroprene, the insulators are self-extinguishing and resistant to hydraulic fluids, diesel fuel, gasoline, and lubricants, as well as brake and fire extinguishing fluids. The operating temperature range is from -55°C to +125°C. The contacts are made of copper alloy with a high-hardness, silver-plated surface finish to guarantee a minimum of 500 insertion cycles.
All solder contacts are specially passivated to comply with RoHS directive requirements. Crimp contacts allow for reliable crimping of cables according to TL 6145-009, TL 6145-011, and MIL-W-5086 when using the recommended tools as per VG95234. The crimp contacts can be replaced at least five times due to their contact retention feature.
