The connectors incorporate a sealed spring housing to ensure consistent termination force. Since there's no need to strip wires before making the connection, installation is approximately 80% faster than with conventional DC connectors for photovoltaic panels, which contain multiple components and crimping contacts. The fact that no special tools are required also simplifies and speeds up installation, resulting in a significant reduction in system costs.
The new SOLARLOK 2.0 connectors:
- They incorporate the TE 1500V PV4-S solar interface and comply with all the latest standards for photovoltaic panels.
- They meet the safety requirements established by IEC 62852 / UL6703 standards.
- They are filled with insulating gel and are completely watertight (a unique feature in the solar market), achieving an IPX8 rating level (1 m/24 h) according to IEC 60529, which means they withstand immersion at greater depths than usual.
- They are available as a male connector (negative pole) and as a female connector (positive pole).
- They work with a wide range of double-insulated solar cables compliant with EN50618 / IEC2630 (ZKLA), from 14 to 10 AWG.
