To meet the growing demands for network data in harsh industrial environments, the two new classes of M12 cable assemblies offer reliable network functionality in locations where electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is critical. The extended data interface cables deliver transmission speeds of up to 10 Gbit/second, enabling engineers, electricians, system integrators, and machine builders to establish consistent, high-speed connections both on the network and in the field.
Based on network needs, these two sets of molded M12 cables incorporate the following:
• BRSTS 8X-552/…M is designed for use in rolling stock of transport systems and meets the most stringent requirements of DIN EN standards.
• RSTS 8X-478/…M covers the safety and quality requirements of process automation, machine building, and material handling applications, and will also incorporate the UL quality mark in the future.
With an IP67 rating, the M12 cable assemblies meet the criteria for routing functions in waterproof and dustproof enclosures for outdoor mounting and integrate seamlessly with digital image processing devices. Both cable assemblies are available in the following configurations: M12, male, 8-pole, X-coded, 360° shielded, single or double terminal cable assemblies, and operate within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
