Compatible with a wide range of profiles, including all Ethernet-based profiles and 8-core Gigabit cabling, HARTING Ha-VIS preLink is a modular connector system that utilizes quick-connect technology, allowing users to pre-assemble cables or purchase ready-made cables for quick and easy on-site installation. Much of the preparation work is completed in advance, making it faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective. Furthermore, the connector system has the potential to reduce the equipment, training, and testing burden for installers, making it an attractive alternative to traditional outlet connections.
Highly versatile and adaptable, the system is based on the simplicity of the output connection block, which the user can wire separately. The system securely attaches to any of the seven interchangeable mating profiles. These include: RJ45, PushPull RJ45, D-code M12, X-code M12, RJ45 HARTING Industrial Form Factor, RJ45 Keystone, and a preLink extender for cable extensions. Wiring becomes a quick and easy process, as the cables are inserted into the preLink output connection block according to the color codes. Cable connection and stripping can be achieved in a single step: once mated to the connector, the output connection block becomes an integral part of the unit and is no longer a separate interface. Inside the housing, the preLink output connection block is secured with vibration-proof mating and protected from external influences.
The system is particularly well-suited for installations in confined spaces or junction boxes. Furthermore, the pre-assembled cable segments can be quickly swapped during maintenance or upgrades. The HARTING Ha-VIS preLink connector system, comprising over 24 different products, is available from RS Components.
