KBC's switch portfolio includes a range of basic unmanaged switches, ideal for IP cameras, as well as switches offering fiber interfaces, a range of integrated data server ports, and SFP ports (Small Form Factor – a flexible port that allows the user to select SC fiber or RJ45 interface).
Unlike many similar networking products, where systems can often tolerate slower recovery times, IP security systems rely on faster recovery. To meet this demand, KBC switches offer redundancy through DT-band or DT+band technology to ensure recovery times of less than 100 ms.
“Offering the Ethernet Switch is just the next step in enabling us to provide our customers with the broadest range of transmission product options specifically designed for demanding environments,” says Iain Deuchars, MD KBC Networks EMEA. “While we already offer a comprehensive range of transmission products, our goal is to provide the ideal product for each customer’s particular needs, and this is precisely what our new line of switches allows us to do.”
With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and an IP40 protection rating, KBC switches offer automatic configuration of all ports with a plug-and-play design. The switches are available in wall-mount and DIN rail configurations and include redundant power supplies and alarm buttons.
Plug-in hybrid starter controller
The new variants of Phoenix Contact's Contactron hybrid starter controllers allow for quick and easy integration into common fieldbus systems such as Profibus, Profinet, CANopen, DeviceNet, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP.
