In addition to supporting standardized protocols, the products feature user-friendly integration and configuration tools that eliminate the need for specialized programming knowledge. Furthermore, the IO-Link LioN-Power system enables predictive maintenance by transmitting diagnostic data from intelligent IO-Link sensors and actuators before a failure occurs.
The improvements made to the IO-Link LioN-Power system are as follows:
Lumberg Automation has added two IO-Link LioN-Power I/O modules with 10 digital inputs and 6 digital outputs (10 DI 6 DO) and 16 universal digital inputs and outputs (16 DIO). IO-Link devices, IO-Link master ports, and I/O modules can now be easily connected to process up to 132 I/O signals per system. This provides an efficient way to transition systems from passive to active or to capture numerous digital signals in distributed environments. Furthermore, the IO-Link devices are designed to work seamlessly with the IO-Link Device Tool TMG and, in the future, with the TE Prototype Tool.
All components of the LioN-Power system are designed to operate in the confined and harsh environments typical of robotic applications, material handling and machinery, automotive and food and beverage manufacturing, and transportation, among other industrial sectors.
