After discovering the limitations of traditional methods such as foams, resins, or concrete solutions, Sarpel Ingeniería opted for Roxtec's modular solutions.
The substations have been equipped with Roxtec UG™ sealing systems, specifically designed for power cable entries, fiber optics, and grounding systems, providing a flexible, safe solution ready for future expansion.
From Roxtec's perspective, this project highlights the renewable energy sector's growing need for certified sealing solutions that deliver long-term value. Thanks to Roxtec's multi-layer compression technology, the installations are protected against multiple risks with a single solution: water ingress, fire, gases, dust, and rodents.
In addition to improving technical reliability, the implementation of Roxtec systems has allowed Sarpel Ingeniería to reduce costs associated with leaks, avoiding complex repairs and unplanned downtime, with estimated savings of between €3,000 and €6,000 per substation.
