These switches have IP65 protection with a moisture and dustproof aluminum housing, and M12 connectors that ensure firmness and stability against vibrations.

The devices support PoE and PoE+ on all 100M ports. 120W is available through the internal power supply with a 24-120Vdc input range (booster). An additional 120W is also available by connecting an external power supply to the switch.
 Aquam switches feature a mechanical bypass mechanism that ensures Gigabit Ethernet signal continuity in the event of a device failure. This way, only the terminals connected to that device will be affected.
 Due to the fact that the network topology on the train can vary when different cars are coupled and uncoupled, the IEC61375 standard defines the TTDT (Train Topology Discovery Protocol) protocol, which allows for the automatic reconfiguration of equipment to always simulate the same topology.
 
R-NAT:Railway-Network Address Translation
IEC61735 also defines this functionality to maintain a consistent configuration across terminal devices connected to the switch in each train car. With R-NAT, the switches perform address translation between the duplicate IP addresses of the terminals and the unique IP addresses of the switches in the different train cars.
