Verifications using ESSAILEC RJ45, a compact unit consisting of a socket and a verification plug, are based on the plug-and-play concept. The ESSAILEC socket is installed in the circuit and wired to the device (protective relay in a panel or in meters) to enable verification operations during installation or maintenance. The ESSAILEC plug is connected to the verification block during operation to allow sensor measurements or signal injection into the relay.

The combination of the RJ45 connection and the "connect before opening" principle simplifies and speeds up the verification of switch protection relays. The circuit is automatically disconnected when the plug is inserted and automatically reconnected when it is removed. The isolated chassis of the test block ensures compliance with EMC standards and protects the signals.
