The OmniReach MDU drop cables with reduced bend radii (3 mm) are the latest innovation in ADC Krone's range of technology products and can be bent with a smaller radius than conventional fiber, thus providing long-term reliability through improved insertion loss (IL), even for 90-degree bends in typical installations in urban environments of multi-home buildings.

The new MDU cables feature an extremely tight bend radius without compromising attenuation or other cable characteristics. Additionally, they provide the functionality required in urban MDU environments without the high costs associated with alternative products designed for the same application. Developed with premium fiber and ADC Krone's military-grade cabling technology, the OmniReach 3mm reinforced indoor/outdoor MDU cables offer users flexibility and durability for optimal network performance.

OmniReach 3mm cables with a reduced bend radius are also designed to expedite deployment. They can be installed on any surface, even with crimping, and can navigate 90° corners without compromising insertion characteristics. These features ensure rapid service and reduced installation costs, given the large number of drop cables that need to be installed.
“With the acceleration of FTTP network deployment in urban areas worldwide, there is a growing need for systems that efficiently address deployment in multi-family buildings,” commented Carsten Storbeck, Carrier Product Manager EMEA at ADC Krone. “OmniReach drop cables with reduced bend radii deliver high performance in any environment, even the most challenging, enabling fast and reliable service delivery to our customers’ subscribers.”
OmniReach MDU cables are available in various configurations, including cables suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
