introduces new hardware and software capabilities that unify the award-winning long-haul DTN-X family with the TM Series packet optical metro solution. The TM Series brought together Infinera's intelligent transport network solutions portfolio through the acquisition of Transmode, a leading provider of packet optical metro networks. New hardware modules for the DTN-X XTC Series enable cross-line operation between 100 Gb/s WDM and the TM Series. The TM Series provides packet optical transport for a broad range of metro applications, including mobile fronthaul and backhaul, enterprise Ethernet, and triple-play aggregation for cable and service provider networks. The new PT-Fabric for the TM Series is designed to extend these capabilities to terabit switching and 100 Gb/s metro networks.
Infinera introduces new capabilities for its Digital Node Manager (DNM) network management system, enabling unified control of the DTN-X and TM series families, from metro access to the long-haul core. The unified end-to-end portfolio of solutions is designed with the programmability of Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
Two New mMetro DTN-X Platforms: XTC-2 and XTC-2E.
Infinera introduces two new platforms, the DTN-X XTC-2 and XTC-2E, to extend the scalability, efficiency, and simplicity of the DTN-X family to core metro and regional network applications. The XTC-2 and XTC-2E converge 100 Gb/s coherent WDM transmission with OTN packet switching in a small footprint and low-power platform demanded by metropolitan and regional networks. All platforms in the XTC Series support oPIC-100, Infinera's next-generation photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology, to extend the space, performance, and reliability benefits of PICs from long-haul to metro applications.
New Long-Range DTN-X Platform:
Infinera introduces the XT-500 platform, a new member of the DTN-X family, highlighting Infinera's continued investment in long-haul solutions. The XT-500 is a 2-rack unit, stackable platform based on Infinera's PIC-500, offering 500 Gb/s WDM super channels and designed for the rapid deployment of long-haul, high-bandwidth interconnects in data centers. The XT-500 integrates seamlessly with the Infinera FlexILS™ Line System to support fixed and flexible networks for extended reach and increased fiber efficiency. Applications for the XT-500 include point-to-point interconnects and interconnects within optically switched mesh network topologies using reconfigurable optical multiplexers (ROADMs). Managed as part of a DTN-X node, the XT-500 supports Infinera's Instant Bandwidth™ to quickly deploy additional bandwidth in 100 Gb/s increments with just a few mouse clicks.

Availability
The XTC-2, XTC-2E, XT-500 will be available with unified hardware and software features by Q4 2015.
