Cisco names Jordi The new structure resulted in the creation of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Russia, where Europe is made up of the Southern Region, the Northern Region, the Central Region, Emerging Markets, the United Kingdom and Ireland.


Jordi Botifoll has been chosen for this position due to his continued success in management, his remarkable vision for the future, and his ability to drive change and inspire his teams. Despite the challenging economic environment in which he has operated, the employees in the region he leads have the highest motivation levels in the company. Similarly, Botifoll is known for his exceptional client relationships, built on mutual respect and loyalty.


Jordi Botifoll began working at Cisco in 1999 as General Manager in Spain, achieving business growth of over 100% during the first year. In 2000, he was appointed General Manager of Cisco in Spain and Portugal and, three years later, was promoted to Vice President of the Mediterranean Region


Throughout his career, Botifoll has been awarded the “Best General Manager EMEA” award in 2002, the “Best VP in Europe” award in 2008 – both awarded by Cisco – and the “Engineer of the Year” award, which was presented to him by the Spanish College of Telecommunications Engineers in 2008. In addition, he is a member of numerous boards of directors and associations such as the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain, where he is Vice President; AMETIC, where he serves as a Member of the Board of Directors; and Ctecno, the Association for the Development of Technology in Catalonia, where he holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Commercial Partners.
