Hans Hess will therefore continue in his role as a director of the Board and will help ensure a smooth transition for the new CEO. Michel Riva will begin his work within the company in the fall of 2012.
At the same time, the company's two owners, Peter and Martin Reichle, will step back from the operations management team, focusing on their roles within the company's Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors has also decided to assign Peter Reichle's operational responsibilities to the new COO, Markus Stieger, who will oversee the logistics process. The responsibility for leading global sales will pass to the company's new CSO, Richard Eichhorn; for the past several years, Eichhorn has been the manager for the Western Europe region. Similarly, Marilena Della Casa, a Personal Manager at R&M, will now join the Board as CHRO.
