The qualification applies to the Genetec Security Center Synergis access control system, Synergis™ Cloud Link, and the STid secure I/O module, specifically developed for this architecture by STid. It also covers STid SSCP v2 readers that operate in transparent mode and MIFARE® DESFire® EV2/EV3 smart cards.

“Genetec is recognized worldwide for its cybersecurity solutions, which reinforces our position as a trusted benchmark solution in the physical security sector,” says Cyrille Becker. “Achieving ANSSI qualification further demonstrates our ability to meet the most stringent cybersecurity requirements, as well as our long-term commitment to helping our customers protect their environments.”
The ANSSI qualification (qualification decision no. 2777) attests to the robustness of Genetec’s access control solutions and their ability to meet the highest standards of cybersecurity and trust. For organizations designated as Operators of Vital Importance (OIV), particularly in sectors such as healthcare, airports, and energy, this qualification ensures that their system can protect critical infrastructure against increasingly sophisticated cyber and physical threats, while complying with the stringent regulatory requirements applicable in France. For non-French organizations, the ANSSI qualification is a recognized benchmark for cybersecurity rigor, validated by a trusted national authority.

Genetec achieved ANSSI Elementary Level Qualification after receiving the Agency's Level 1 Security Certification (CSPN). While certification confirms that a product meets defined cybersecurity standards at a specific time, qualification represents a higher level of assurance. It involves more advanced testing and audits, as well as a long-term commitment to maintaining compliance with ANSSI requirements.

“For users, this distinction is fundamental,” adds Cyrille Becker. “It guarantees that the systems go beyond simply managing access points to become a first line of defense against cyber threats. Both in France and throughout Europe, organizations seeking a highly secure access control system can have complete confidence in Genetec, as this qualification demonstrates our ability to meet the most demanding cybersecurity standards.”.

The ANSSI qualification adds to Genetec's extensive portfolio of cybersecurity certifications, accreditations, and program recognitions, including ISO 27001 and ISO 27017, IRAP, Essential 8, TX-RAMP, FICAM/FIPS 201-2, DHS Safety Act, UL 2900-2-3 Level 3, CAPSS, and SOC 2 Type II. Genetec solutions also comply with GDPR and NIS2 requirements.
