Since then, SENER and III have strengthened their relationship, culminating in the creation of the new company, III Grupo SENER.
SENER's acquisition of 100% of III concludes a process that began in 2005 with the establishment of a strategic alliance between the two companies. This alliance allowed SENER to enter the Mexican market in partnership with one of the country's leading engineering firms, while simultaneously enhancing III's capacity to secure turnkey projects.
Since then, they have undertaken significant joint projects in the Energy and Process sectors, including engineering development for Combined Cycle power plants, turnkey projects, and various Refining, Gas, and Petrochemical projects. III's activities also encompass projects in the mining and metallurgical sector, with significant work for AUSENCO and MITTAL.
In addition to its activities in the Energy and Processes sector, SENER has participated in significant projects in Mexico in the Civil Engineering and Architecture sector, including highways, airports, suburban rail, and subway systems. Some of our main clients include the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT), OHL, FCC, ISOLUX, Grupo Aeroportuario Pacífico (GAP), the Trust Fund for the Support of the Rescue of Concessioned Highways (FARAC), and Casas Geo, among others. We have also been involved in transportation planning and architectural projects.
From the outset, SENER understood that its presence in Mexico necessarily required collaboration with III, a company with which it shares the same entrepreneurial spirit and a deep understanding of its corporate culture. In the words of José Belmonte, SENER's director in Mexico: "We want to be a benchmark in the engineering sector, while maintaining our Mexican essence."
With the completion of this 100% acquisition, SENER and III, now under the name of III Grupo SENER, continue the previous stage and begin a new path with excellent business prospects as a Mexican company, made up of Mexican professionals and developing projects in Mexico.
