The VPP is part of Vertiv's global strategy to empower its ever-growing partner base to stay informed and ahead of the demanding and evolving requirements of customers in edge computing, digitalization, and other revolutionary trends in the broader IT landscape, and the data center sector in particular. Over the past year, Vertiv has invested in ongoing, comprehensive research initiatives to define the four main edge computing archetypes and identify the use cases that would benefit most from 5G technologies and present the clearest and most immediate business opportunities for its partner ecosystem.
“Vertiv is committed to the distribution channel as a key player in ensuring that technologies like edge computing, 5G, and the general trend toward digitalization become opportunities for both business and improvement for companies across all sectors,” says Sergio Ferrer, Head of Channel Development for Vertiv in Spain. “This commitment is demonstrated by the investments we have made to enhance our product portfolio for the channel, as well as the implementation of a robust strategy that guarantees our distributors and resellers are best positioned to succeed. In this regard, our revamped partner program and the commercial policies we are deploying are the cornerstones of our success.”.
One of the cornerstones of the VPP program is the new Vertiv Incentive Program (VIP) for EMEA, which allows Certified and Silver resellers to quickly earn bonus points and convert them into cash rewards. These incentives also include new discounts through rebates for Gold and Platinum resellers.
In addition, Vertiv has redesigned its partner portal, allowing resellers to quickly and easily register and instantly access resources and benefits. Improvements to the portal for greater ease of use include online self-study courses that will help partners enhance their skills and address any gaps in their technical knowledge.
In addition to providing its partners with the tools and incentives they need to succeed, Vertiv continues to develop its channel-specific portfolio. The latest addition to this portfolio is the Liebert® GXT5 uninterruptible power supply (UPS), which complements the range of edge computing solutions that Vertiv introduced in November 2018. Available through channel partners across EMEA in a wide range of power ratings, the Liebert GXT5 UPS incorporates new capabilities and market-leading features, expanding one of the most popular families of double-conversion online UPS systems for small IT environments. Its innovative technologies are designed to deliver reliable and efficient power to high-density devices in a rack-mountable form factor. The Liebert GXT5 UPS systems feature individually controlled output sockets for enhanced safety and enable remote management to simplify network edge management and facilitate the profound transformations taking place in areas such as retail, healthcare, finance, and Industry 4.0.
Scott Murphy, Director of Cloud and Advanced Solutions at Ingram Micro UK, commented: “We are pleased to see Vertiv continue to enhance its partner program. This helps us maintain our position as a leading distributor of digital solutions. Thanks to Vertiv, we have been able to identify new opportunities, remain competitive, and develop a strong, trusting relationship with them.”
