The VPP is part of Vertiv's global strategy to empower its ever-growing partner base to stay informed and ahead of the demanding and evolving requirements of customers in edge computing, digitalization, and other revolutionary trends in the broader IT landscape, and the data center sector in particular. Over the past year, Vertiv has invested in ongoing, comprehensive research initiatives to define the four main edge computing archetypes and identify the use cases that would benefit most from 5G technologies and present the clearest and most immediate business opportunities for its partner ecosystem.

During the program's launch in Madrid, Sergio Ferrer also highlighted the contribution to the distributor's margin that these types of programs generate, along with the protection afforded by being a manufacturer that is not over-distributed.
One of the cornerstones of the VPP program is the new Vertiv Incentive Program (VIP) for EMEA, which allows Authorized and Silver resellers to quickly earn bonus points and convert them into cash rewards.
Specifically, resellers will receive a debit card loaded with euros at a rate of 1 point for every 100 euros spent. Each point will be redeemed for 1 euro at the end of each month and has no expiration date. The ratio will change with various promotions, and the registration process for the program is fully automated through their website and very simple.
These incentives also include new discounts through rebates for Gold and Platinum resellers. The program aims to increase customer loyalty and revenue from small or occasional customers through distributors.
In addition, Vertiv has redesigned its partner portal, allowing resellers to quickly and easily register and instantly access resources and benefits. Improvements to the portal for greater ease of use include online self-study courses that will help partners enhance their skills and address any gaps in their technical knowledge.
In addition to providing its partners with the tools and incentives they need to succeed, Vertiv continues to develop its channel-specific portfolio.
