Designed and delivered by Dell Technologies, the VMware Cloud on Dell EMC service includes VMware's network, storage, and compute infrastructure software, seamlessly integrated into the Dell EMC VxRail hyperconverged appliance delivered as a service. Built on VMware's Project Dimension technology announced at VMworld 2018 US, VMware Cloud on Dell EMC will enable organizations to utilize on-demand data center and edge infrastructure as a public cloud service through a hybrid cloud control plane. The control plane provides visibility and management of all on-premises systems, including monitoring rack conditions and tracking the steps VMware engineers take to resolve service issues, as well as automatic end-to-end system patching and updates. The subscription service will offer flexible cloud-like consumption and payment options.
