Supermicro has recently joined SAP's global technology partner program.
SAP HANA combines database, data processing, and in-memory application platform functions. The platform provides libraries for predictive, planning, text processing, spatial, and business analytics. With these advanced features, such as predictive text analysis, spatial processing, and data visualization within the same architecture, the development and processing of applications on big data sources and structures is further simplified. This makes SAP HANA a well-suited platform for building and deploying next-generation real-time applications and analytics.
The new SAP-certified solution complements Supermicro's existing solutions for the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform and assists customers in their transition from SAP HANA to SAP S/4HANA®. In fact, Supermicro has certified its entire range of servers and storage systems to support the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform, which runs on Linux. Designed for businesses that demand maximum operational efficiency and top performance, these Supermicro SuperServer systems are ready for SAP applications based on the NetWeaver technology platform, such as SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP CRM, whether as a database or application server in a two- or three-tier SAP configuration.
Supermicro plans to further expand its SAP HANA-certified system offering with a scalable 8-socket system based on the SuperServer 7089P-TR4 and a 4-socket system based on its SuperBlade® in the first half of 2018.
