TE Connectivity (TE) introduces this MiMo antenna for public transportation applications. This multi-purpose outdoor antenna combines mobile connectivity, GPS, and Wi-Fi functions in a single rugged device. The integrated MiMo (multi-input multiple-output) technology enhances connectivity by splitting data streams (multipath propagation) and utilizing up to four antennas to transmit the signal.

TE's new multi-purpose MiMo antenna offers three functions in a single device: GSM (up to LTE), global positioning (compatible with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou systems), and Wi-Fi connectivity, all within a robust housing. Designed for outdoor use, the shark-fin antenna meets IP66 standards and is even protected against water jets from high-pressure cleaning equipment or automatic car washes. Furthermore, the overmolded surface resists direct sunlight, allowing the product to be mounted on a vehicle roof. It is secured with a single M18 slot nut.
