Samtec's floating contact terminals (FT5 series) and female connectors (FS5 series) for this surface-mount interconnect system offer high reliability and performance. The system is available in 30- or 60-contact versions (15 or 30 per row) with a 0.5 mm pitch.


The socket has a standard height of 4 mm, while the male connector is available in heights of 1 mm or 3 mm, resulting in coupled connector heights of 5 or 7 mm. For increased stability and mechanical strength under adverse conditions, the socket features a solder-through-hole lug as standard. The male connector is also offered in a right-angle design for micro backplane applications.
