The field-installable 45° RJ-45 modular connector for Industrial Ethernet utilizes robust, quick-termination technology, enabling fast field installation without special tools. The new IP20-compliant modular connector is commonly used in compact junction box applications in automation and networking environments.


Ideal for fast (4-position) and gigabit (8-position) Ethernet applications, the 45° field-installable modular RJ-45 connector for Industrial Ethernet incorporates a two-step locking mechanism (pin and support structure) for reliable connections in harsh environments: a metal tip lock with the pin and optional support structure provide a secondary lock.


Among its technical characteristics are a nominal current of 500 mA per pin, a durability of 750 connection cycles, and a wide temperature range of -40 to +70 °C. The new angled RJ-45 modular connector, suitable for use with 4-wire AWG 22 and 8-wire AWG 26 cables, meets the requirements of TIA/EIA 568 Category 5e and is compliant with IEC 60603-7-1.
