The first two circuit sizes in the CMX family, which meet the requirements of the transportation market, are a 5-row, 55-pin CMX connector and a 5-row, 65-pin CMX connector. Additional circuit sizes are already under development to expand the family.
Both CMX connectors support low and medium currents using 0.635 mm and 1.50 mm CTX terminals. The new matte seal is designed for the advanced, high-performance sealing function of the CTX terminals and is compatible with ISO and JASO cables. The CTX terminal system features a clean-body design that offers good performance in harsh environments while functioning in low, medium, and high current applications. The use of high-conductivity copper alloys provides excellent voltage relaxation and current-carrying capacity.
The hermetically sealed rear cover, which can be molded with breakable dummy plugs for the CTX terminal cavities, helps reduce cycle time and applied costs for electrical cable manufacturers. It also gives customers greater flexibility regarding unused cavities.
