The AXC F XT ETH 1TX expansion module incorporates an additional Ethernet interface. A dedicated MAC address ensures that networks can be integrated while maintaining complete physical separation. As an Interbus master, the AXC F XT IB module allows, among other things, the continued use of existing installations in Interbus-based applications. The AXC F XT PB module is a Profibus master that exchanges data with up to 125 Profibus participants, both cyclically (DP V0) and acyclically (DP V1). The AXC F XT SPLC 1000 module functions as a safety-oriented control system up to SIL 3, to which up to 32 Profisafe devices can be connected. With the AXC F XL ML 1000 expansion module, a Coral Edge TPU can be added to an AXC F 3152 PLCnext Control for processing AI applications.
Since the left-aligned modules communicate with the control system via PCIe, the standardized interface can also be used by other vendors. The configuration of the expansion modules is uniform despite their different functions. When a module is connected, engineering verifies that it has been installed with the correct firmware version and issues a meaningful error message if necessary. By using these expansion modules, PLCnext Control proves to be a suitable solution for almost any application requirement.
