FDT/DTM technology simplifies the commissioning and management of fully integrated proxy station equipment within higher-level control systems, as well as connected Profibus PA equipment. The AXL P BK PN AF bus coupler supports the specification for achieving S2 system redundancy with only one bus coupler. Two bus couplers are required to meet Profinet R1 and R2 system redundancy requirements. The integrated hot-swap capability of the bus coupler ensures high system availability.
The Profibus PA segment can be powered via a single fieldbus power supply module. For enhanced process reliability and fault tolerance, two power supply modules are installed on a single socket, providing redundant power to the Profibus PA segment. The local LED indicator on the power supply module shows the module's redundancy status.
Profibus PA sensors can be connected directly or via a device coupler to the modular Axioline P proxy. Fieldbus technologies, such as HART or Modbus/RTU, can thus be integrated into Profinet networks via Profibus PA gateways connected to the modular Axioline P proxy. This allows for the simple and cost-effective modernization of existing system concepts.
